FOUNDER & CHIEF STRATEGIST, VALINC PR

Valerie Wilson is a Public Relations and Brand Strategy veteran with vast experience in the food, wine, hospitality and lifestyle industries. She has served clients, from LeapFrog Enterprises and Playboy, to Wines from Spain, Gallo, Robert Mondavi, and the Miss America organization. She has also worked with international organizations including the Region of Campagnia (Italy). Her hospitality experience includes running the media relations for such iconic culinary marketing platforms as NYC Restaurant Week and Restaurant Day as well as the James Beard Foundation Awards. She started her career working for the team that created National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. She has first-hand experience working with both small and emerging companies, as well as large and established organizations in a senior capacity, directly advising the C-Suite in effective branding and media relations strategies. 

With her company ValincPR, Valerie has played an instrumental role in building Harlem’s hospitality and culinary scene and premier hospitality brands, raising its visibility through strategic media and branding execution. She has worked with some of Harlem’s most influential programs and organizations, including Harlem Park to Park, Harlem EatUp!, Harlem Business Alliance and MMPCIA, among several others. In addition, she has crafted branding strategy for top professionals in the field of art and interior design, including AD100 designer and her firm Jennifer Post Design, for whom ValincPR has secured several coveted cover stories for her work in major design publications. Her work has attracted top brands and personalities to her client roster like Uber and Uber Eats, Shea Moisture, The James Beard Foundation, Shake Shack, LeRone Wilson, and celebrity chef JJ Johnson. 

She is an avid supporter of the arts, working with artists like LeRone Wilson and incorporating art into her work such as the production of the Black Lives Matter Harlem Street Mural and the Renaissance Pavilion at Strivers’ Row presented by Uber Eats, both projects of which centered art in its execution.

Valerie’s family originates from Liberia, West Africa. She is married to accomplished fine artist LeRone Wilson and they have 3 amazing children.
